Application Deadlines

Fall semester: March 1st
Spring semester: September 1st

If we receive information later than this, we cannot assure that the government paperwork necessary for a visa will be done in time. Students must show as part of the application that they have the equivalent of $7,750 per semester for the time that they will be study at the University of Illinois.

Areas of Concentration

The University of Illinois College of Business offers a full spectrum of business courses in the areas of accountancy, finance, business administration and economics. Additional majors/career tracks/areas of specialization include taxation, marketing, industrial distribution management, production, corporate finance, investments, financial markets, insurance and risk management, real estate, developmental economics, labor and personnel relations, and public finance.

Only students from Nanyang University are able to take courses in Accountancy during their time in Illinois.

Costs Per Semester for Incoming Exchange Students 2008-09
Tuition $0. waived for exchange students
Dorm Housing $1,600-3,000 students can also choose to find their own, local housing
Meal plan in dorms $915 - $2,814  
International Student & Scholars Services (ISSS) $50 one time fee issued to all incoming international students
Health Service Fee (mandatory) $207 use of McKinley Health Clinic on UIUC campus
Health Insurance $180 waived if student shows equivalent proof of coverage
Transportation (mandatory) $38 use of local bus system
Books and classroom materials $500+ variable amount

 

Language of Instruction

English only. Acceptable TOEFL needed for students coming from non-English-speaking countries. Include a copy of your TOEFL results with application.
